I was wondering if anyone has dealt with paying child support while over there? Do they take it out of your paycheck or do you just pay via check or online. Also, has anyone had their ex take them back to court since they were making alot more?

I plan on paying mine via online, however I was wondering if the ex could try to take me back to court for more money or since the money is tax free, if she even could.

TIA!

As far as mine goes for child support. I already asked WSI in that matter, they will only take out the support providing you have a court order....saying to have your wages "garnished". I will be sending my ex a cashiers cheque every month. As far as taking you back for more....she probably can. But each state and each case is different. I live 1,400 miles from my ex, nobody talks to her from my family, so I'am keeping this move to myself. Nobody knows where she lives or her phone numbers plus most of my family has passed on. But then again I only have a year and 4 months left to pay. Good luck though.

You're going to be making a piss pot full of money but you aren't willing to share the benefits with your children? Nice. How classy. Don't forget child support is for the kid. If you make more you should pay more.

LOL, calm down! I am planning on sharing it with the kids. I am going to be buying them alot. I am going to be starting a college saving plan for them. I am going to be taking them on a nice vacation. My ex doesn't spend the money on the kids. She spends the child support on new clothes for her, while my kids don't have any! Please don't lecture me about taking care of my kids until you know the whole story. I LOVE my kids and I am doing this for them! So I can make some extra money to give them a vacation that they will never get, to make money where I can start a college plan for them etc.:)

WSIFire - If you don't feel pretty stupid now then you SHOULD. Maybe you should think twice before stickin' your nose in where it doesn't belong and making STUPID comments about something or someone before you know the whole story (which is probably none of your damn business anyway). Judge not lest ye be judged douchebag!!

Norty, the way you phrased it in your question made it seem like you felt paying more child support would be a bad thing.

As for knowing the whole story, YOU DIDN'T MENTION that she doesn't spend it on the kids. If you don't give the whole story don't whine when someone doesn't know it.

As for you mcintyre, you can just kiss my a$$. Dude puts it out here on a public forum, it becomes the business of anyone who wants to read and comment. That's how public forums work, moron. But then what can we expect from you, having just learned to read and all.

Your right, I could of informed you that she spends the child support on new clothes, tanning, parties, etc for herself while my kids suffer. However, I didn't know you would be so judgemental and to think that I was a deat beat dad or something. I was wrong! Next time I will do a better job of explaining the whole situation!

Thanks for all the useful info about working over in IRAQ, enjoy your time back in the states and take care!:)

Yeah and I probably shouldn't have rushed to judgement either. Easy to do. I've known a few dead beat dads, and a common theme among them was complaints about the ex taking them to court for more child support, hiding additional income, etc.

What say we bury the hatchet? In mcintyre's head. Or whoever is supposedly posing as mcintyre.
