I received my Packet!!

Well I revceived my packet from Wackenhut, and it says The tentative start date of employment is Aug 6th. Is that the date im suppose to report to Houston? Its the paper that I have to sign and return to houston. And can anyone give me any info on all the insurance forms, there are so many im not realy sure which ones to fill out.

congrats. well August 6 is when you will be in Houston. As to insurance forms which ones are you talking about. if you need any help feel free to email me and I'll help as much as I can. I received mine too and will report to Houston the same day as you, Aug 6th. Now I just have to get that dang passport that I applied for back in April! lol

Hey bro, you SERIOUSLY need to call your congressman on the passport deal. Don't listen to the passport agency when they tell you it will be there etc...I applied for mine in Feb., and it got to me barely 2 weeks ago. I had to push my Houston date back to the next one available, which was 3 weeks later!!!

So, call your congressman, tell them you are a contract firefighter going to Iraq, and must, I repeat MUST fax your passport in a month ahead of time, or else you are going nowhere! Really, don't be shy about calling, they are very helpful. Good luck

Thanks Luke for the advice!:) I actually have already called him. And will be calling again on Monday till it gets done!:) Never even thought about calling him till I read it on this forum. Hopefully I will get it soon!
