Reciprocity among the states

I just finished my EMT-B training program here in Baton Rouge, LA and just passed both my national registry practical and written tests. I plan to work for a private ambulance company here in town for a while but in the future I was hoping to look at some other opportunities in other states, notably north carolina or virginia. I tried to call the VA EMS council today but I couldn't get through, but I figured I'd throw my question out here to see if i could get an clarification. I saw on VA's website that they have forms for reciprocity for Intermediate and Paramedic, but not basic. And when I check on the NAEMT website they list Virginia as only having reciprocity for paramedic. Can anyone give me any information to clear this up? Any help would be really appreciated. I was able to get in contact with Virginia EMS today to answer my question regarding reciprocity. Sorry for the waste of forum space.
