Appleton Paramedic Engines?

I have heard several rumors recently that Appleton fire is thinking about getting back into the EMS business. One rumor involved running EMT-B rigs and the other was running Medic Engines. Has anyone else heard the same? Any AFD guys out there have 2 cents to throw into the discussion?

Haven't heard much on this stuff, but part of USAR task force with AFD and have trench coming up next week. I'll reply what I find out.

Hey JcCrabby... We are doing the trench tech class right now, with Collapse in july at the volk, Have you gone to the volk yet or is this in your schedule??

Talked to a few AFD guys today and any rumors about AFD going EMS again anytime soon is strictly rumor. Many of those who were around when AFD lost their EMS still remember and there is still a rift among some of the senior personnel about it. So for the most part AFD will not be running EMS anytime soon. They already have a good working relationship with the private service as well.

Either way, don't look at Appleton if you want to do any EMS.
