WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know a lot of local guys check these forums.
This is the first chance I've had to post since getting out of work and NO ONE has posted any response to this.
I pray for my brothers and all you should do the same.
I see all these posts about guys wanting to get on the job but 8 of our brothers get injured and not a single one of you post anything showing your condolences? That's a little screwed up.

While there is a thread going on about it at the link you posted, most of the guys who are posting in the threads about trying to get hired in New Britain, Hartford, and New Haven have posted here nor there.

From BC Mancini of Waterbury FD
I received word this morning that Captain John Keane passed away early this
morning from injuries sustained in the apparatus accident. I will forward
the funeral arrangements as soon as I get them.
Fire Driver Joe Fishetti is still in critical but stable condition at
Waterbury Hospital. He seems to be improving.
Again I would like to thank all of you for your support during this tragedy.
Keep you posted.

My husband went with a group of FF from his department (volunteer). He said they got in line at 7PM and didnt get inside until 8:20 because there was so many people there - lots of FF from all over CT.
My heart goes out to the Waterbury FD and Capt. Keane's family!

Not to mention 4 departments from NH and at least one from VT. Very good showing, IMO.
