I wish we had a station. Right now we are just housed in office area and go out the door and our vehicles are all parked in reserved parking spots in the parking lot. We have been pushing for somewhere a little better so we can store our vehicles inside but for now I don't think the company can see a value in it.

Wow, does that ever sound familiar. We have something similar going on here- Hey, if they want to leave our 1.2M dollar apparatus outside in -40... we'll gladly not be able to shoot water. We just make sure the records of our request are kept on file so that when we get sued in the event of something bad happening we can hand that over to the powers that don't be. It's a joke, really-

Our's looks like any other metal building with roll up doors. But the good stuff is waiting just inside.
And we rarely get below freezing, but we have heaters for our equipment.........Big Oil......Big $$$$

We're sitting on oil too- but the "company" is more interested in stepping over dollars to pick up pennies (as someone I know once put it quite eloquently). Yes, we save the 200k in not building a second structure- but we basically destroy 3M worth of vehicles in 5 years.
Our main station sounds like yours. On the outside, it looks like a practical to task design. Inside, it's like an architect threw up on the drawing and forgot to tell someone. Just like Municipal side, ERT is the first budgetary item on the chopping block. The original design was exactly what we needed. What we ended up with? Not so much.
Ah well. Money in the bank.
