What is your company's mascot - and what is the story behind it ??

Ours is a skunk - prior to the arrival of the US Post Office in our town, it was called Skunktown - as the story goes the post office refused to name their post office Skunktown so the town name was changed to Sergeantsville.

See pic attached.

It seems alot of Fire companies use BullDogs as a mascot.
What's up with that? Is there a history behind this mascot or animal in the FD?

The only reason we have it on our convention shirt is because the high school is the Rossford Bulldogs.

When I think of Bulldogs and the fire service, I think Mack.

I can certainly say, in NY there's alot of companies that have BullDog as a mascot. I know that other states Rep a bulldog. I can't honestly say i know that all of other states have that, but it seems like it's becoming a "unofficial, yet official mascot for the FD". Correct me if i'm wrong, i don't mean to be downplaying any companies mascot. I just thought this is really interesting.
Some companies don't have the words bulldog, yet a picture of one. I'm just wondering if there's a connection between the FD's.

Our Mascot is....... Well....... Ah.......... A Real Dog. I'll post a picture of Frank (Yes, our mascot is a dog named Frank) when I can find one.
