Do you know if and when Greenville might be hiring? I am currently a paramedic in Florida and am looking to relocate to NC. Definitely want to be a FF but also want to continue work as a medic. Thanks!

You can always work as one or the other full-time and then work part-time with someone else... We have several guys that work full-time as firefighter (paid) and work part-time for us on their days off... they only have to work 12 hours a month minimum with us to keep their job. They get the benefit of getting all their Paramedic recert hours and still get to work some on the unit... orif you prefer work part-time for us and volunteer with a volunteer fire department... which ever your main love :) is ....

We will begin hiring again in July/August we have a Acad running right now which will be ending late July. If you're really interested go to the city's website @ www.greenvillenc.gov and fill out an interest card, that way we will contact you when we begin the process.

Carteret County, NC has six or so FF/ALS Departments. Check with Cape Carteret (Western Carteret Fire) I believe that they have an opening. Atlantic Beach and Morehead are medic/ff houses as well.
