I am currently a volunteer firefighter in my university town of Moscow ID. I intend to continue on to a professional department when I am done here. I am curious about how I may be viewed by potential hiring departments. My current plans are two more years of college which will give me a Bachelors in Buisness and Personell Management. Durring the time I am in school I intend to recieve my FF1 and 2, Red-Card Wildland Certifcation, Haz-Mat Technition, and EMT-basic or advanced. I then plan on attending College of Southern Idaho to aquire my paramedic licence.
I simply want some information on how these things would look in the eyes of a professional department and if anyone has any tips or suggestions on other certifications I should look into.
