I am looking for pics of uniforms from depts that are wearing embroidered unis versus the old metal badge, nameplate, and collar emblems. Our local is considering going away from the all metal style and switching to a class B with embroidered name plate, bugles on the collar for the officers, badge and flag. I need to come up with some pics of uniforms that are in service else where in ohio with this set up. Also any input from depts that are using this would be appreciated. Thanks- Local 3676 Canton, ohio

we use a pretty standard lion apparel button down. dept patch on L shoulder and Rank tag on R chest. officers are in lt blue shirts by flying cross.
if you want i can get you the model my next tour, but if its up to your guys i'd personally suggest if you have to have something collared going to a polo!

Do you have a Cintas uniform company near you? If so give them a call and they can show you everything you want to see. They have the shirts, pants, and samples of patches on shirts for you to look at. Plus their prices are pretty good.

"old metal badge"??? While I understand the desire to get away from a "dress uniform" for routine duty, please don't degrade the meaning of the "shield" that is given to you as a symbol of trust by your community.
