I doubt they will look favorably upon something that recent. Just be honest.

Two tickets and your license got suspended? Wow. I've had five and I never got close to a suspension.
Anyway, yes, having a suspended license in your history could cause some problems. Hopefully you haven't had any problems since then. If asked, don't lie and tell them that you realized that you were dumb and made mistakes and that you're looking to get back on track.

Yes,
this can seriously impact your chances. For the record, I am sure your license did not get suspended for two tickets. You are only telling one half of the story.

If a ticket is taken off your record, should I put it on my back ground anyways. I went to traffic school for a speeding ticket back in 94.
Thanks,
Kev

Thats nice. You're still not telling us the whole truth here. Based on this performance, I wouldn't hold out much hope for employment.

If you got a ticket for it you were doing it on a public road.
That shows me that you have a profound lack of good judgement and are most certainly not ready to join the fire department. If I were doing your review, a stunt like that would most definitely put you in the "reject" pile.
Go forth and learn from your mistakes. You may be about to learn a powerful lesson in personal responsibility.

Yea, and that is still only one of them from last year. Lord knows what the other ones were.

He doesn't appear to be a good candidate with these tickets. I have to agree that there is "something" else in this story that hasn't came out yet. Most departments want you driving record clean or spotless!!
I don’t think that I would be giving my two weeks notice at my present job, if he has one, just yet.

This is why you should question what you do. Being on the fd ,or wanting to be on a fd, always keep in mind if I do some type of bonehead move, can this screw me over sometime down the road? You have no one to blame but yourself.

He may be telling the majority of the story.
I've had a few tickets past, and I got my license suspended once, not for the tickets themselves, for a failure to respond, because i moved to a different state for a seasonal job, and my mail wasn't forwarded in time. This bit me in the arse when i was going to apply to the Colombus, Ohio Division of Fire, because it was within the three years they require you to have a clean record to apply. Actually, I had my license officially suspended twice. The first because I didn't respond in time, and the second, for the extra points added to my license which put me over the limit in PA. I had two tickets in two years, and that gave me enough points to go over. You only need 6 to revoke a license here. I had exactly 6. :(
