Does everyone store their supplies and equipment in their vehicles or strategic locations throughout the facility? We currently do a little of both but have real problem keeping all the rooms and boxes throughout the site stocked.

Hey dude if you are going to keep posting why don'tcha join us instead of just being a visitor. I'm not complaining or anything, just a suggestion.
To answer your question. We have small spill kits for employees to use near all the fueling stations but other than that we store stuff where they give us space to store stuff. We have our apparatus bay that is at our offices. We have a couple storage rooms for extra gear/ misc supplies in our building. We kind of outgrew our bay though and store 2 trucks in a garage not too far away. They are not first line apparatus though. If we need them people go in patrol cars to go get them.

Each member has his own gear stored wherever it is convinent for him. (Turnout gear, CSR harness) SCBA's are stored outside our muster room in cabinets, each member has his on. Haz Mat equipment is stored on haz mat trailer. CSR gear is stored in muster room.
All of our equipment is stored and locked except SCBA's. Only ERT members have keys to this equipment.

One of the fire stations has gear lockers where everyone in Emergency Services keeps their personal safety gear...everyone has two bags, one for turnout gear and another for all your other stuff (hard hat, Nomex coveralls, raingear, etc.).
4 man shift, 1 guy is tied down dispatching, the other 3 are in patrol vehicles (2 Suburbans and an extra cab dually pickup) and have their gear with them at all times.
I prefer to put my turnouts on the engine at the beginning of the shift and carry my "other" bag in the Suburban with me.
As far as big equipment, we have it scattered all over the site....3 fire stations house the 2 engines, ambulance, HazMat truck, rescue boat, a couple of trailer-mounted skid pumps, and some other miscellaneous equipment. We have a couple of hose trailers, a spill containment trailer, and sundry loose equipment stored in a couple of warehouses on site.
We also have copious amounts of foam stored in an off site warehouse about a mile away in 275 gallon totes.

We have equipment (naturally) on our apparatus.... Fire boxes located throughout the plant...... Most are located next to hydrants stocked with handlines, nozzles, hose gaskets, spanners, gated wyes, etc, etc
We have two large walk in sheds located next the bay were the truck is parked with hazmat equipment in one and more fire equipment in the other.
All of our turnouts are kept in a section of the locker room designated for such, or in our offices if you have one.

It appears that you haven't registered for the forum. (see how everyone else's name is in red, but yours is black and in regular font?) If you haven't, how you're able to post is beyond me because I thought the forum required registration.
Either way, you should take a moment and register (http://forums.firehouse.com/register.php?do=signup). It's pretty simple and it tells us more about you.

It's a glitch he is registered. Web Team just won't get the bugs worked out, it takes a while for "Guest" to become members
Back to the topic. We keep our fire and rescue gear on our fire carts. 1 cart per building (4 in all) we use other carts for patrol no gear on the normally. Also got a fire cage with extra gear in each building, we keep the carts in the cages. We keep some small stuff in the Chevy 2500 pickup's. And all our medical gear in the EMT vehicle.
