New MFR Soon EMT-B in Kent County Michigan

Hey, glad I found this forum. I'm a new MFR and will be doing EMT-B soon.

I'm looking to volunteer my time to use my MFR somewhere here in Kent County (Grand Rapids, Mi area).

Here's the problem, I've called two local fire dept's to become a volunteer and I've not gotten any response whatsoever. Is there anywhere that you know of to use the MFR and EMT-B skills as a volunteer?

Isn't Life EMS out your way? Get a job there part time. IT's not an FD but it's something.

that was my ? too - I'm in Ada. I don't think there's anyone around here who is truly "volunteer" - most depts are paid-on-call or combination. I think I had heard Cascade was hiring, anf Plainfield, but don't quote me on that . . .
