I did the beacon mutual test in oct 06. anyone kow if i can still use this? i know beacon is not doing it anymore and i have heard i will need to take the test again. if thats true that is not cool. my cert is good for a year...plus its now $100!! Let me know

Your cert is good for a year IF the department you're applying for chooses to accept it. They aren't obligated.

Cranston isn't accepting October's test. Pony up the cash.

If you passed the test, your certificate is good for 1 year. If you didn't pass, the new dates are available at http://www.beaconmutual.com/code/firefighter.aspx

Again. IF the department you're applying for accepts that test.

Some won't.

Whether or not the department accepts it, the certificate is still good for one year. I know, technicalities....

if i were you i'd take it again, yeah the cost sucks when it started out at 25 bucks, but gee what do ya know the state takes over and the price doubles, but when ya think about it $100 is a small price to pay for a chance at the greatest career out there
