Hazmat Response Team @ Refineries

Hello everyone.

I've been asked to do some research and hazmat gap analysis for our refineries in Kuwait. I'm interested in knowing what type of hazmat response team do you have as far as organization, structure, SOPs, equipment to respond to oil and chemical spills, gas leaks etc ..

I would appreciate you asistance in this matter if you could provide me with links, information, references or networking with those who are involved with hazmat response team.

I would think if this was a legit assignment, then a simple phone call to US refiners with similar capacities and processes would produce valuable and willing person to person contacts. Information of that sort obtained over faceless forum conversations is sketchy and hardly credible in "gap analysis" in my opinion.


All the big refining companies have contact info readily available over the internet, and any credible individual interested in obtaining and sharing information and ideas should have no problem convincing the point of contact to have the appropriate safety or emergency response manager contact you with regards to this matter.

Just my 2 cents.

I think with all the issues around Homeland Hysteria now, it won't be that easy to get the info....:(

I know I wouldn't be telling anyone anything about our response capabilities, etc becasue they rang me. As for a site visit, I'd want inital contact via phone, perhaps follow up with email and letterheads, etc
