Haven't seen any posts from him in a while. Happened to see an old post in a rebumped thread, got me wondering. Is he ok?

Fear not, he's fine. He is taking a long hiatus from posting, not only on this forum, but on all others. I don't expect him to return. Thank you to all who have pm'd to check in.
May you all have a happy and healthy new year. May the only thought in your mind, when you walk into the firehouse for your shift, be..."I am going home in the same condition I was in when I left the house". Also remember, there is a God, he loves you and he is watching your back.

Happy Holidays my friend. I hope all is well in your world. :)

I had thought the same thing a few weeks ago. Where is George? Have a Happy, Safe, New Year, George. Even though people don't always agree on these boards there should be no hard feelings :D

LMAO.
I noticed months ago that he was lurking. I believe it was in the summer that he stopped posting, during one of the blowouts. Every once in awhile I would peek at his profile to see if he was still coming online and sure enough, he was. Perfectly understandable to take a break. Lot of people don't post on FH anymore because of all the sh!t.
Hope you and your family are healthy and happy. Best wishes for 2007, George. :)

Just out of curiousity, does this forum have the same issues with personal attacks, call-outs, aggravating posts, childish-posting, and so forth? It seems to be the norm on pretty much any type of forum I have ever read or posted to. I like to poke a little fun at times, but I have seen people take it way too far.
Just wondering.......based on the last post about the blowout and people no longer posting because of the SH.........

The blowouts come and go, but when they happen, it ussually gets out of hand pretty quick, lol. No matter how hard the webteam tries, it happens on every forum you will find.

It doesn't happen at www.iacoj.com. Lots of respectful discussion without the personal attacks. Check it out.
Many of us who have been on these boards for some time, step back every once in awhile, start eating healthy again, pumping iron, reading Scriptures and then returning again stronger than before.
Discussion will fuel energy.
Arguing and fending off personal attacks will sap your strength.
It's not hard to understand it, really.
I can honestly say that I miss the more colorful contributors when they are absent, because in between some of the slams, they have something worthwhile to offer, but often, the message is missed through all of the mud.
I hope George will return from time to time. These boards need his intellect and I am serious when I say that.
Have a good one.

CR is right, the Crusty site is the place to go for "Mature" discussion in a non-threatening environment. :)
But this place is still very entertaining, and the polar opinions are worth consideration. ;) :D

One man's lunacy is another's lucidity.. and vice versa! :D

Maybe George has been hanging out with Captain Bob?Only if Don Rumsfeld is wind surfing with John Kerry. If any of these two events happen, it will certainly be the end of times.

George Wendt away for a while.
George wears one pair of pants.
George wears one hat at a time.
George does not have lights or sirens on his POV.
If George wears rubber or leather shoes, it is his choice.
George does not stop for Green Lights.
Happy New Year to George, his family and all the other Crusties out there.

We didn't have plans, but the plan changed after Adam went to sleep and some neighbours decided to stop by around 9.30.
The last one left at 3.00 am today. It is now 0930 New Years Day and I am checking on our websites etc.
Slowly, as my eyeballs have a very nice glazed effect going on. :D

I don't really have any plans either, just going to watch the Flames hockey game if it's on TV tonight, and have a few bevies, maybe watch a movie. All my friends are sick or away, so not much else to do.
I've almost been driven to start drinking NOW, or throw my computer off the balcony!!! After many frustrating days trying to get my new MP3 player working  followed by long and unsatisfactory phone calls to Insignia and Best Buy Customer Service and Technical Support - Argentina and India respectively   And India's servers were down.
I give up!! Going to BEG my dad to treat me to Windows XP today while it's on sale. :p
