anybody ever hear of schools, companies, etc. that offer training on appliance fire prevention and hazards, etc?

Not that i'm going to have an answer...but out of curiousity are you thinking along the lines of commercial/restraunt or residential??
Actually if you're thinking FP&S, Kurt may have idea for you too--he's on vacation but checking his PDA every 10 minutes or so!! :p

Thanks Greenacres - that is exactly where I am going....drafting a program to train fire inspectors on appliance issues. knowledge to be used during their normal inspection duties...and as an offering to residents who request.....
