Since no one else has asked yet, What is the likelihood of releases over the next few weeks? Have awards been historically issued during the holidays?
Round 10 - 12/22/06
Round 11 - 12/29/06
Round 12 - 1/5/06
I hope Santa will still be delivering 1199a's, 10 q's and awards over the next few weeks?

In past years they have released every Friday around the Holidays. Updates usually didn't happen in shorter weeks because of limited staff to handle them, but since awards are normally on deck for a bit those are easy to throw out there. We'll find out today if anyone gets phone calls.

Doesn't sound like any updates went out this week, but definitely glad to see the phone calls being made for awards on near-Xmas Eve Day. :)

Received a call today from Senator John Cornyn's office. Looks like a Merry Christmas in west Texas. Complete set of rescue tools including airbags. The very kind lady on the phone was not sure if we would be awarded this week or after the New Year. Looks like a little more waiting!!!

I don't think your wait will be long. Congressional notifications only go out on the Wednesday's prior to notifications. ;)

In some cases it has taken around 3 weeks or more between 10 q's and awards. I know of a local department that has been waitnig 3 weeks. Just have to be patient.
If the AFG did not recieve the 10 q's back (lost in computer space), they will contact you.

I heard a rumor today that some of the firegrant support people are moving their office locations during this week so that may be why we have seen a delay in 1199A and 10qs going out here lately.;)

Hey Kurt,
No rumor, they are moving all the support offices out of DC into Virginia. I have an email awaiting a reply, but the grants specialist is out until Jan.6 and if you call they will give you a new number with a new area code. Anybody have any idea what a flood plain determination letter is?

Limeforever,
Are you in a flood plain? If no, the flood plain determination letter is N/A.
When you recieved the 10 q's there should be a description of the flood plain determination letter as part of the flood plain questions. Did you recieve that info?

Thanks Bugle, I just got a call back from a rep that told me what to send him. I appreciate the info, and yes it was in the letter, would have helped if I had read everything twice like I am suppose to wouldn't it.

Sounds like no awards due to the short week based on lack of celebration on the "Real" celebration thread. Anybody heard otherwise?

Relatively light week for AFG, but SAFER was larger than normal. I've not run the totals, kind of counting on Brian for that!!
