we received notification of our award today but we need to update our 1199A and there is no link to do so. How do we update it.

Seems like the cart is beifre the horse here guy. You got notification of award today? Or did you mean they posted an award number to your old 1199a? You usually never receive an official award notification letter until the 1199a has already been updated and is found to be correct.:confused:

we were awarded in 03 but since then the former chief has passed away and his name is on the old 1199A

We were awarded in 03 and 04. It appears we made it through the computer screening but still haven't gotten a 1099A update or 10?s. After reading everything here, it appears a matter of time until our DJ letter. Let it end one way or another.......

In the 10 Q email you should have answered that your banking information has changed, that would kick off the process for them to unlock the 1199A online and let you make the proper changes. If you call Helpdesk they can do it for you now also.

Since you were a previous winner, you will not see a 1199A update link, that is for first time winners. Go to your '03 grant and check your 1199A form. If you are up for an '06 grant you will see a reference to it there. It will be in red along with references to '03 & '04.

When you make that call to the help desk, know what info needs to be changed. The AFG will only open up the areas of the 1199A, that you want to change. Secondly, the AFG will give you a small window of time to complete the changes before it's locked down (2 days tops I believe).

You will have to print the updated form out, get the required signatures and mail back (by a method that can be traced and acknowledge the feds recieved it).

I checked the 03 grant and no update to 06 on the 1099A. Looks like it is a matter of time before the dreaded DJ arrives.
