I'll be there in spirit, not literally though :( I have to work nights tonight, so will be well into my shift by the time the first Guinness has gone down.

Best wishes to everyone for a happy, safe Christmas. Hope the pager stays as quiet for you as I hope it does for me.

Pop in earlier ... you never know, maybe some people will start the party early ;) :D

Actually, I was thinking exactly along those lines yesterday - in order to accommodate those of our overseas and down under, upside down members -we could have an earlier starting time, have an "open house" where people can pop in throughout the day, or something along those lines. There's no law that says the party has to start at 5pm (PST) (8pm EST). The same thing occurs to me every year but none of us actually seem to do anything about it LOL. So let's hear some feedback about the idea. I'll post this on the Christmas Party thread over there too.

So now that I've said that ... I will pop on occasionally this afternoon to see if anyone is starting the party early, but I do have a TON of things to do today, from Christmas/grocery shopping to laundry, dishes and decorating the tree (which is up with lights only at the moment).

There is a law which I was taught by an esteemed Kitchen Lawyer.

In the precedent case of Johnny Bop vs. Dinosaur

"He who steppeth up to arrange said function shall be afforded all due respect as to time and work shift. They who shall not steppeth up are afforded the right to bitch without said complainant being given credence."

Hope everyone had a fine time and are'nt nursing too many bad heads today:confused: I was on nights last night but raised a "hypothetical" glass of Bushmills around about the appointed time.

Best wishes to all my friends here and there for a happy, safe and prosperous Christmas.
