which EIN

I've noticed the previous grant writer for the department used the city EIN. Should I be using the one assigned to our relief association or to our city. We're a very small rural FD, and have never recieved the AFG.

For AFG you would be using the EIN for the city.

So then it should go in the city's general fund account, or can it be deposited in a fire dept account?

Are you a municipal department of the city? If so,the funds would be deposited into the city accounts.
