OH FF1&FF11 to WV

I was wondering if you guys could help me. I am just wondering if you could tell me if my Ohio Firefighter 1 & 11 certifications will transfer to West Virgina? Any information on this subjuct would be of great help.

Every state is different. The best thing for you to do is to call the state certification office and check with them. When I moved to Georgia my training did not transfer, in some ways it did. Georgia is a NPQ State (National Professional Qualifications). Not too many people up here have heard of it. In a sense it is similar to National Registry for fire. But my classes met/exceeded Georgia standards which qualified me to challenge the tests. Hope this helps.

Out of curiosity why are you moving to West Virginia? Huntington just hired some new rookies and I was wondering if you are one of them.

check with the Ohio Div. of Public Safety. I have been told there is a form available that gives reciprocal credit from a large number of other states.
