Hi all,
Has anyone ever tried to start a association for volunteer firefighters in NH? We must have quite a few vollies. If anyone else is interested please contact me and perhaps we can work on something.
Also, when driving along and you see another firefighter passing by wave and say hello. Take pride in being a member of your volunteer fire department. Firefighting gets in your blood and it is a brotherhood.

Stay safe,

Kevin

I believe there is a NH FF asociation, not specific to vollunteers or call firefighters, but open to everyone. I am not sure how you would find out, maybe call the Fire Academy??

I think that is an excellent idea! After all NH is 80% volunteer or call and I don't think we are recognized enough. We put are lives on the line no less than the career firefighters and should have as much recognition or more. We are not in it for the money!

Hi Hangman, Thanks for the reply. The association one of the posters mentioned is only for a death/injury benefit. I am talking more along the lines of a fraternal association where we publish a magazine, offer some benefits, etc. My email is mcso@metrocast.net if you care to discuss this more.
