Anyone have any ideas how to get some financial assistance for FF II (240)and medic school.
Seems I am going to rack up about $8,000 for both.
Any student grants available?

$8,000? You should be able to get through medic and 240 for less than half that. My volunteer department paid for both.

BTW, state grants are available, but I believe that they must go through a department. Your best bet is to get on a volunteer department and have them send you through school.

Most vocational schools that offer medic programs also provide for financial aid and student loans.
