I am a explorer on the peterborough fire department and a few years ago we were given a donation of around $5,000 by the clay family to get a truck of our own they donated the money to our post because of the hard work we showed at a structure fire at a house they owned we used the money to buy a truck we have saved our money over the years to equip the truck with hand tools, a generator and rehab equipment i was wondering if any other explorer post in NH has a truck or if we are the only ones if you would like to see a picture of our truck go to www.firerescue.us and look under the explorer page

That is a nice looking truck, you guys should be proud of it. What are the uses for the truck? Under what circumstances is it depoloyed? Who can drive? Is it set up as part of your regular run cards, does the FD just use it as an additonal piece of equipment, or is it used specifically for explorer functions.

The truck is mostly used for rehab our towns ambulance covers 5 other towns around us we have it so if our ambulance is called for a 1st alarm its a 2 truck responce the explorer truck and the ambulance its a advantage because the ambulance does not get dirty. Firefighters are the only ones to drive it but a explorer can take the seat of a firefighter anywear else.
