Hi there,

Does anyone know if Colorado CPATs are universal for other Colorado departments?

Parker Fire has a list of licensed CPAT departments (http://www.parkerfire.org/CPAT%20Testing%20Departments.h tml).

If you take a CPAT at one of these departments can you use the results for other departments?

Thank you,

Yes, the CPAT is a standard for all departments that use/require it.

Many departments in Colorado that utilize the CPAT do not accept a CPAT certificate from some other place. Parker and Castle Rock usually have CPAT tests you can pay for and if you pass you gain the certificate, and i know South Metro, Parker, Castle Rock, and Colorado Springs will accept them. However there are a few others like Union Colony in Greeley, Pueblo, and i believe Thornton that run their own CPAT test and you must complete theirs regardless of a CPAT certificate from elsewhere. On the other hand, I do not know if every department will issue a CPAT certificate if you pass it in their process, like with Union Colony for example. If they do, it should be universal for those 4 departments i listed taht will accept it and any others that i might not know about. Hope this helps.
