Hello,

I am 19 years old (20 in July), and am looking for contract fire jobs that I qualify for. I have State of Ohio Firefighter I and II (I realize I will have to upgrade theese to ifsac or proboard), EMT-B, and hazmat operations. I take my medic registry on 6-16. I have been a volunteer firefighter emt since 1-05, and am a full time emt. Are there any contract jobs that I qualify for?

Most contractors will require firefighters to be at least 21 years of age. For CSA in Kuwait you need to have some type of fulltime experience or volunteer experience and military service. Because of the challenges in this area, well rounded and experienced firefighters are essential. I would recommend exploring the possibility of military service with an active duty, guard or reserve component.
