Are There Any Joliet Area Depts. that Hire P/T @ 18yo?

We live on the Far West side of Joliet, IL. My soon to be 18yo son is looking for a part time department to get on. Are there any depts. in this imediate area that hires at 18 and do not have a strict residency requirement. He has been an explorer for almost 4 years and is taking Fire Science through WILCO in the fall. He is very interested in this as a career but can't get on as a FF on his explorer dept. until he is 21yo. I don't want him to lose interest in the mean time.

Check out East Joliet Fire Protection Dist. and Troy FD. Troy is in Shorewood, they hire at 18, and East Joliet is well, east of Joliet, out by the racetrack. I am fairly sure they hire at 18 also.
