Car vs. House in Hinckley, Illinois

On Friday, May 26th, at about 7:55 pm, the Hinckley (IL) Fire District was dispatched to 610 Prairie View Lane in Hinckley for a motor vehicle accident, car vs. house.

On arrival, crews found a Ford Expedition had backed across the street and crashed into this home. Fortunately, no one was home at the time, and the driver escaped injury.

Crews remained on the scene for about two hours securing utilities and boarding up the garage.

Companies commanded by Captain Joe Herrmann.

Check out this thread (http://forums.firehouse.com/showthread.php?t=81855) over in the Illinois state forum. What appears to be the husband of the driver was trying to give Jaybird some grief over those very pictures. He didn't find a very friendly audience.

Hey! Not being from Illinois I dont go to the Illinois forum. That and I live in a state where we dont use the state forums so this idea is foreign to me. I saw the news on the front page and thought I would poke a little fun not realizing the scuffle that was happening on the other forum. Oh well. :D Glad to see everyone is ok though. I will now close this thread. :o

I saw the thread that our electric friend posted. Hippa eh? Didnt know that covered cars.

I am hoping this thread will die a quick and painless death like most of the others I have started.

But while your keeping your head down on this, look at www.gdvfd18.com I had a similar incident AT THE SAME TIME. My driver was, well, ....... He went to the Trauma Center. (All that I can say. HIPPA, you know. :D ) Then this morning, different neighborhood, we had an Expedition go backwards thru the Carport and storage room. No injuries, No idea what happened to cause it.
