My sister told me about a discussion she had recently in her natural disasters class. The professor asked the class, "Why are there fires during or after earthquakes?" The immediate responses included downed power lines and ruptured gas mains.

The professor then smiled and said, "Y'know, I once had a student answer that question with, 'Because some people don't have earthquake insurance.'"

Hahhahaha

"Why did the water pipe break and flood the house?"

"Because the homeowner didn't have flood insurance when the river overflowed the day before..."

Two retired business men are having a converstation. The first one says he ran a successful store for many years, but one day had a huge fire that destroyed the shop. He took the insurance money and retired. The second man said he too had a successful store but his was wiped out in a flood. He also retired with the money from the insurance company. The first guys looks puzzled and asks "who did you call for a flood?"
