If you haven't seen these custom painted shieldsyet, take a look.

These are the nicest helmet shields I've ever seen! This guy is a real artist.

I just ordered a parade style front for my Cairns lid. I can't wait to get it. I'll post pics of it in the helmet thread as soon as I get it. ;)

If anyone has one of Bob's shields, I'd like to know what you think of it.

Kevin- Wow, pretty nice. Those works of art are almost too nice to put on a working helmet.

I am still a big Sam Brown Shields (www.sambrownshilds.com) fan.

Thank you for sharing!

I spoke with the "artist" on the phone this morning when I ordered it. He told me a lot of the guys who buy them don't actually wear them in battle.
He said he'd love to see some of his shields all smoked up. I told him I would be happy to oblige him! ;)

I have one of his shields. It was gold leaf with a custom design and lettering. Wore it for 3 years. It is kinda yellowish/brown now but it has held up great. Without having it in front of me I want to say the leather is a Sam Brown shield.

I am very impressed with quality of the art work. :D

(edit) By the way, the shield itself is a Sam Brown Shield.

Kev: If it wasn't for your Irish heritage and the fact you are in Fla,(though the rest of us here call Tallahassee South Georgia, I'd swear you are a whacker. LOL. That said the front looks awesome and has made me consider getting one.
