Anyone here attending the SFFMA Convention this year in Waco? Just wondering because I'll be there some of the days and was wanting to meet some people (no, I am married).

Anyone here attending the SFFMA Convention this year in Waco? Just wondering because I'll be there some of the days and was wanting to meet some people (no, I am married).

Wish I could go. It is hard to explain to my wife why I need to take vacation days to attend a fire convention.

I hear that the Texas Forest Service (HB2604) could reimburse for the cost of the convention, but not travel or hotel. Maybe next year.

I am trying to get more involved in the SFFMA. I might start with District meetings first.

Went to the site for the first time in awhile the other day. Since I retired I haven't been all that active with them. Figured since they want an ambulance there and I need the overtime, I'd find out if anyone was going. Sorry you can't come. Or just bring the wife and send her to the mall or the zoo or something.
