I am trying to build an image and text file. First of all I am not at all graphic literate, which means I have no clue how to use powerpoint (not sure it would help anyhow).

What I've got is a text blurb, that I want to insert over a watermark image. I have both the image and the text ready to go, but when I try to merge them, overlay them or any other co-joining of two files and I either dont get what I want at all or it "looks great here", but doens't print correctly. I tried Word (looks great on screen), Paint and Imaging, but none of them do quite what I want. I don't have Corel Draw or anything as good as that, here at work though.

If there is anyone who is a graphics whiz and has a few minutes, please pm me, and I'll send you what I've got.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys 'n gals.

I feel your pain in being technologically impaired...but I might be able to help out.

In Word, go to the toolbar and select format. Under format select background. Scroll to the bottom where it says printed watermark...it will give you options of no watermark (this is the pre-set one), picture as a watermark, or text as a watermark. This sounds like what you are trying to do...hope it helps.

Thanks Andy. I looked for that, but not sure if these military computers have the necessary format capabilities or not, but I didnt see that in the tool bar, which pretty much annoyed the he!! outta me. Canada has a real nasty habit of taking an off the shelf product and then butchering it to "suit our needs", and ... well thats the army for ya!

Dal190 and frftr28 are both looking into the problem for me. So the problem should be resolved in fair order. For which to both I am very grateful. :D

Sent you an e-mail back with a PDF attachment...let me know if you don't get it.

For some reason, I tried that printed watermark myself and it was "grayed out" on my PC...so I ended up using some other programs to make a graphics out of the whole darn thing.
