Hi from a misplaced Tenessean! Im from Ardmore, and I currently live in Utah. I am thinking of coming home, but worried that my Utah Paramedic Certification will not transfer. Does anyone out there know? Also I will be testing soon with Brentwood, does anyone know if there is a study guide to the written test? Thanks...........

Not far from my old stomping grounds in Fairview - actually Fernvale. It seems like there were a couple of guys from Columbia in my rookie school class (when it was in Murfreesboro), but that has been many moons ago and I can't remember their names at the moment. Are you with the fire department, or just EMS?

Tennessee will be glad to have you back. Tennessee accepts National Registry. You shouldn't have a problem if you're current. One of my guys tested at Brentwood a few years ago, got an offer but passed it up. If I get a chance, I'll try and get you a heads-up.

Thanks for the heads up! That would be awesome. I am also in fire. I currently work for the State. I do not however have my National Paramedic. Although Utah will honor it for resiprocity, it is not required with-in the state.Kinda funny seeing as one of the members of the National Registy Board lives in Utah,,, Go figure that one????
