Hello,
I am a senior in a high school in michigan. I am interested in going into being a paramedic. I was wondering if anyone knew anything that I could do at this point to help myself into the career.

Thanks

Find the closest Tech college and talk with them I believe that you have to be 18 to even take the EMT-B course. Good Luck!

Actually I do believe that you can be under 18 to take the class. You just won't be able to do any of the NREMT testing.

Get into an EMT-B class. After graduating, try working as one for a couple of years. If you still want to step on up to paramedic, you'll do a lot better with the experience under your belt, and if you find that EMS isn't for you, the EMT training is a lot less of an investment, money and time wise.
