can someone direct me to the posts about spending money as a new hire?

I know that it was posted on here a few times, but I am looking for some advice on living situations as I move to my new job. (pending psych and medical).

I want to buy a house instead of an apartment and am looking for advice. I will probably end up renting an apartment to get settled, then invest in a nice little home.
