Virginia Beach Fire Dept. Interview

I have an interview next week with the VBFD. What can I expect from the panel interview? I have done a ton of reading on Firehouse.com.

Anyone else get this far? If so, do you know how many? How many are they hiring?

2 weeks ago I was told that 70 were taking the polygraph exam. Now that its over I wonder how many passed it and are going on to the interview process.

Anyone here in the same boat?

Well, I had the interview.

Their interview process is sort of weird.

First, I was interviewed by 3 Chiefs of the dept. Each Chief would ask certain questions from a paper they use for all people interviewed.

Then, after I leave, they would view my file which contained resume and additional information.

Anyone know why they do it this way? I got caught way off guard.

I had an interview yesterday as well with VBFD.

The format was kind of "weird," but I dont think I did that bad. I was definitely nervous.

Are they sending out letters to everyone, even though they may not be chosen? Or are they just sending letters out to the ones chosen? I am not sure.
