Anyone here familiar with this city Dept? I live here and am waiting for the test results to be released. Anyone know whats going on with the YFD??

"Yonkers, the city of hills where nothing is on the level" Do yourself a favor and test with the city while you wait to be called by YFD, because it's a call they may never come.

Yeah? I was planning on taking the city test in Oct. Why such a downer on Yonkers?? Seems like a pretty good place to work?

yonkers is a great place to be a cop or fireman; but that expression just relates to the very political and "who you know" nature of the civil service in that city. I'm not down on it, it's just the way it is...good luck getting on, either here or with YFD! By the way I took the test too...
