When is payday for the firefighters over in Iraq and can they cash there check on base or do it go into an account for family members to send you money. Are threre any incentives besides the base bay? If so how much?

-every 2 weeks

-you need direct deposit (no where to cash a check)

-you have several 'uplifts' depending on your location and duty status

There are 26 pay periods two months you will get 3 pay checks just like federal employees. 1st 40 hours is standard pay with 55% uplift added to the 40 hours and the rest is straight pay.

On my husbands base he cannot write checks. He can use a debit card at the PX and get 20 dollars cash back. We opened another account for him at our bank and I deposit a certain amount of money in it every payday. This way he can keep track of it himself without having to remember to tell me what he took out. With our bank we can get on line to check our account so that is also helpful. He enjoys getting on line and spending what he wants and it also helps to surprise me with gifts like flowers ect...without having to tell me he took out a certain amount of money to buy me flowers. Just a thought for you guys out there that have wives or girlfriends. :)

Starting salary with Wackenhut is 90,000. Is there extra money that can be made. What about insurance for the family? Do you think that is expensive or not?
