which departments are fire/ems combined

can anyone tell me which fire departments are combined fire and ems it seems that most departments are not combined.

there are a lot of departments out there, all over the country each is different.
maybe you could be specific as to which area of the country you want info on.

throughout virginia/maryland/dc most fire departments (overall) and almost all career area departments provide at least some type of EMS service.

Where are you at?

In Texas it varies. The only 'big city' departments that are not combined are: Fort Worth, Austin, and El Paso. Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio are combined. Mid-size cities just depend. I work in San Angelo with about 100k population - we're combined. Abilene is near us, same population, and they aren't.

Best bet: look at each city you're interested applying for.

i was more thinking west coast maybe seattle i think la area is combined. and the midwest. i was looking into st louis but is seperated
