Does anyone know when the Pittsburgh Fire Bureau is going to be testing again? And do you still have to be a resident of the city even just to apply to test? I ran into a couple PFB firefighters one afternoon, when I spent a weekend in the city, as they were out buying things for lunch, and I asked them, but they didn't know for sure. They thought the PFB would possibly be testing again sometime in early 07.

Pittsburgh has downsized the dept. Through attrition. THey did test in either March or May of 2005. Yes, you must be a city resident to take the test. Just check out their website.

Thanks for the info. I've checked out the official city government run website for the fire department, seems it hasn't been updated in a very long time though.....talking at least a year.
