I am pretty active in the Federal Firehouse Forum, but I'm new to the EMS side. Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I just finished (like, today) the condensed EMT-B class. Our class was done in 3 weeks, God, what alot of info at one time, but I made it...

...all of our training is in-house. the class was 3 weeks long. we did tuesday-saturday, 7:30-5:00. i think we had a module exam literally EVERY day, we used the Brady EMERGENCY CARE 10th ed. for our curriculum.

What I did was I read the chapters in the book what was taught that day, then I read one day's worth of chapters ahead. I spent almost 4 or 5 hours a day studying after class but it was worth it because it was so much information to take in at one time. Study hard.

I'm new to the EMS side also. I'm just finished up my EMT-B class and recently registered for EMT-P. Glad to be here! I'll have to come back more often.
