Scott NXG2 SCBA

Our department is currently evaluating SCBA with the intent of replacing our present units. We are seeking any feedback from anyone who has had experience with the Scott NXG2 SCBA.

For what it is worth, a neighboring department bought some of them and has been regretting it ever since. My department just made a purchase of 16 MSA Firehawks, we previously had the Scott 2.2's and they never once failed us. It was a toss-up between the Scott Fifty 4.5 and the MSA Firehawk but the NxG2 were not even in the running.

On a different note, do you like leather helmets? fog nozzles? 500 lights on povs? and why does FDNY have black bunker gear? :D :D ;)
