It's obvious the your certified but you might not be qualified especially when you post about a law suit with WSI on 4 threads here. Whats your point?

The law suit info is for the people that were done wrong by WSI and many of us were done wrong. With any luck the others will join in and stop the problems and make the job better for all who come behind us.
Have a great day stay safe and keep the dream alive

So is this a class action law suit? Where can the people that were done wrong find the info?

Combat Support Associates (CSA) and Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) are the two fire service providers in Kuwait. I do not know of a KSA, I know both organizations, CSA & KBR, are very selective about who they hire. Qualifications and certifications are one issue, experience is the other. I have not heard of many contract organizations that answer every enquiry particularly if they are not looking for what your offering. Both companies can be found on DOD fire web site.

I received an application from CSA with an offer but am also considering going to Iraq. Does anyone know how the conditions are working with CSA? Do you think it is worth the money? I understand they pay less that Iraq but it is also a different country.

At CSA, expect to make 5-6K a month depending on available OT. There are months where you will make more, and months where the 5K is normal, depends on staffing. In Iraq, expect to make 8-9K a month.

Take my advise, make sure your priority is to make more money and get more experience and certs. These are overseas contractors. Things are not done as they are in the states. If you go, do so with an open mind, if not, believe me, you will end up unsatisfied.

Money
Experience (maybe some future employment contacts as well)
Certifications

Leave everything else at the door, everything.

Thank you for that information. I think my wife prefers me to go to Kuwait instead of Iraq. She feels it is much safer there. Even though the pay is less, it is still much more than what I make here. Plus I am hoping the experience I will gain working over there will open up more opportunities for me.

MontevilleFire, are you still looking for info on CSA? I worked for CSA as a firefighter/driver for 2 years from Oct. 03 - Oct. 05, and will be able to give you (or anyone else) some information.

Well, once again I seem to be looking at new contracts. I was wondering if I could get a little bit of word of mouth about CSA. I've talk to a few People and I did get a few stories. Of course it seem that none came from anyone who had work there.
I know the pay and hours. I just want a little info from someone that had worked for them.

Thanks
