As 2005 draws to a close, I thought it might be fun to look back on the year and years past for the best quotes made by the members here.

They may be funny, serious, thought provoking or, of course, stupid.

So dig through the archives and post the quotes with the date and member who made it.

Short and sweet, don't forget about all the fig newtons and penguins.

Fall down stumbling drunks are of no use. At the same time, the guy that has had 2, 3, 4 or even 6 beers might still be able to function in some capacity. cdevoe

How about this one from the General in New Orleans, LA:

"Don't get stuck on stupid reporters......"

Done during a press conference with a bunch of twit reporters asking the same questions over and over.

"Trust your hunches. they're usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level" Dr. Joyce Brothers

What name does she post under?

I think that Motown's "Will the Dead Horse please report to the forums..." will take some beating.

While we are reminiscing, we perhaps should also remember some of the other funny memories that may not be necessarily be quotes, but are memorable none the less.

A few that come to mind -
The introduction of Adze complete with his paper bag
Stayback's legendary encounter with a stop sign
The Lt's photo with his crew inside a stripped car (where is that picture anyway?, as I can't find it on here).

My personal favorite, as Bou said it: "Friends don't let Friends ride American la Chance"

Don't forget that we found video evidence of Stayback's Close Encounter of the Stop Sign Kind.

This was from this year, but I can't wait a year for this thread to come back.

Suffice it to say that I have looked at enough of the science to know I have more than the average understanding of what is going on. I believe I would fall in the top 1% of all fire fighters.

(sorry, had to go there)

Sorry Artie, it just stuck with me! :D

"Face it, we're all on a break waiting to go to work. Unlike the rest of the world who are working all day waiting for their break." (E229Lt)

"Have you done a search?" (.....ummmm....everybody....) :p

I really liked that one of Artie's too :D

If "have you done a search" is mentioned, then surely "PARDON ME SIR, BUT WE ARE ALL OVER HERE" needs to be as well! :D :D :D :D
