Howdy all...currently live in Northern VA and run with a pretty good fire and rescue squad. We cross train our EMT's with our fire fighters so were better able to help them and respond to all calls. While I have been in the medical field as a certified CNA, I have only been an EMT for a little over a year.

My daughter is going through the fire fighter classes to become certified and is already an EMT at the same station I am at. We are the only mother-daughter team in the county. I am pretty proud of her and encourage her as well as her boyfriend who is also a paid fire fighter.

I hope to contribute to the board and help those who are here. Anyone have any questions, fire away.

Welcome to the forums. Always good to see "new faces" around here - gets pretty boring looking at some of us old ugly guys all the time. :D
