Haz Waste fire

Quick question. I am trying to find info on a recent fire in a haz waste storage facility in western IN. I have no other details.

Any help would be appreciated.

George, Are you talking about the fire at the site where they store VX nerve gas? If so I saw something about it on the local news but they made it sound like it was no big deal.

No this is a commercial company near Gary.

I'm unaware of any major fires involving a hazardous waste facilties in Northwest Indiana recently. I'm usally aware of any fires in the "region" and this one doesn't ring any bells, I'll make some inquires at the Lake County Departments for you. I seached the local papers and came up zero.

Actually there was a fire in Newport, IN. This place is of CONCERNE to those everyone who is close. I don't have any more info. than this, but maybe having the name of the town witll help.

O.K. This is the one I'm talking about. There was an incident there and they didn't make a big deal about it. We're talking about two seperate issues.

Well to start with VX is NOT a gas it is a liquid.
