The Colts will most likely go, but I don't know against who. The only hopes for anyone that dislikes the Colts will be for the Denver Broncos to knock them out.

Actually I envision Indy vs Dallas. And once again it coming down to a fieldgoal.

I agree with Halligan, only I'll go so far to say that the Steelers will win over Dallas 21-17, but not before Dallas is stopped by a turnover in the 4th quarter.

How about the 49ers vs the texans???

Dallas isn't going to make the Super Bowl. They have two number 2 receivers without a running game to hold up the offense. Sure, Julius and Marion have potential, but neither have been worth a flip against good defenses and we sure can't stretch the field with the retards we have trying to catch the ball.
Indy is the obvious AFC choice...the NFC blows in the wind...no powerhouses.

But Bradshaw takes home the MVP. :D
Really, Ill go with Indy (duh) and, belive it or not, da Bears. That Bears D is crazy good and they may have just enough O (when Grossman gets back) to do the job. Think Im nuts? Just look at the Ravens a couple years ago...

Ok Is it just me or has only one other person noticed that The original question was for Superbowl X ( played January 6, 1976)
in which the Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 21-17.
So that being said, it is impossible to predict the out come that happened almost 20 years ago.

"The original question was for Superbowl X ( played January 6, 1976)"
Sorry...I tried writing 40 in roman numerals, but it turned it into "x" prolly because it thought i was trying to write triple x.
Giants don't stand a chance in the playoffs. (Note: The game against the Seahawks was reviewed and it was found that neither of the catches in the end zone were complete. The NFL appologized to the Seahawks and are talking to the officials of that game)
Bears aren't either...so what if they have the # 1 D in the NFL. Colts aren't ranked #1 in anything, but they're still in first place.

Roman numeral 40 actually only has 1 "X". It's expressed as "XL". ;)

It'll be cold, snowing even, and men everywhere will be glued to their couches and televisions and guzzling beer. We'll probably get a couple calls for drunk and stupid and...ohhhhhh you want predictions on what teams will be playing... ;)
Was hoping maybe Pittsburgh but, after the loss to the Bengals today, who knows...
It'd be okay with me if MLB was played all year and football got passed over.

The Chicago Bear defense vs. Peyton and company. Far fetched from the Chicago side, but what the hell. Mid-December and the Bears are in the thick of things. Tomorrows game against the Steelers will say a lot. The Bears are the dogs again. They love it.

I would love to see a Manning Super Bowl, but I doubt it will happen.
I am predicting a Bengal v. Bear Super Bowl.
How about 23-17 Bears sound...
BUT THE BEST TEAM IS THE J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!

Well, it may be a long shot, but all of a sudden the Bucs are looking pretty good. 9/4 with 3 Ws in the last 4 including todays thumpin of the supposed NFC favorite Panthers (on the road no less). Now tied for 2nd overall in the NFC.
And has anybody noticed we may have a star in the makeing in Chris Sims? The 3rd year QB is on a roll and looks more confident every week and damn, has that kid got an arm! Maybe the best weve seen here in TB (and weve had Vinny T and Steve Young). Cadillac is healthy again and the vaunted Bucs D looks like its back.
I dont know, maybe... ;)
RyanEMVFD
12-12-2005, 10:35 AM
I hate to admit it but if Vinny was that good Tampa would have done more to keep him and as for Steve Young, he realized it was time to get out. Now I admit Tampa is a better team since they changed uniforms, heck who wouldn't be.
But how 'bout them Cowboys! Pulling yet another one out, this time against the Chiefs.

Dave.......you have got to be kidding ....right???
The Bucs are 9-5. The combined record of their opponents is 55-64 and out of the 9 wins they have beaten only 1 teams that is a TRUE PLAYOFF Contender (Carolina) The teams they have loss to have a combined record of 34-36 with two of them being to SF and NYJ......losing to Playoff contenders Carolina, Chicago and Should I remind you of the flogging they just took from New England????
Colts and Seahawks!

Seattle - Paper Tiger .. Inflated number of wins because of the weak division.
Bears - Plenty of D but ya need some O to win.
Washington - Too inconsistent.
Carolina - Looking mighty good on both sides of the ball.
Indy - Payton and Indy will choke .. again.
Denver - Strong running game and D but I just don't trust Jake.
Pittsburgh - Spotty, and lucky that Carson Palmer went down.
New England - In playoff form.
Choice: Carolina v. New England
Result: New England by 14.

Ill say either Steelers, Broncos, Panthers or Seahawks. :D
Seriously, I agree, Seahawks arent really that good. As much as it pains me (and it may be against the law here, lol) Ill pick the Panthers.
Broncos v Steelers, wow, thats tough. Ill go with Denver. Id like to see John Lynch get another ring. Did you know the Bucs got rid of him cause he "lost a step" and probably wouldnt come back from his neck injury. Can you say "Pro Bowl"?
Anyway, Broncos v Panthers.

As a long time Steelers fan, I have to agree with StayBack. Every game since the loss to Cincinnati in December has been a must win, and they keep finding ways to do it. I'm only four hours from Detroit, so I might have to make a road trip.
