The Volunteer Firefighter Assistance grants from DNR.

Any idea where I can find more information in it like program guidance, opening dates, etc? I am going to google it here in a minute, but thought I would post on here in case someone else had some better input.

Its to late for this year. The applications had to be in by July 15, 2005 for this year. I just dug the file out to confirm this date and noticed that it says the awards will be announced in September. They better get busy!

I got an email from DNR the other day about this...the awards for this year have been graded and sent to the director of DNR for approval. From there they are supposed to go to the governor for final approval. This info is as of 9/29. They say after final approval they will release the official press release. The guy I got the email from expects this to happen fairly quickly. They originally said money would be awarded by September, so I suppose by government standards they are right on schedule...
