looking for a fire academy

I have been seriously thinking about becoming a firefighter. I live in St Clair Shores,mi. I am trying to find an academy in the nearby area. So far i have only found Macomb community college and st clair community college. Macomb's is full till spring. And st clair's doesnt start till spring. Does anyone know of anywhere else. Does anyone have any advice for someone getting into this career field. thanks for your time.

Try checking out Schoolcraft college in Livonia. I am not sure if they are full or not. Hope this helps

Wayne County Community College has a fire program.

Kalamazoo Valley Community College has an academy.

Schoolcraft's fire classes are only held at the Garden City campus.
